March Madness is almost here and you gotta love it. I'll be glued to my TV set watchin all the action. Las Vegas' own UNLV Runnin' Rebels are near and dear to my heart but are they going to the big show? Barring a complete meltdown they wil be there. Do they have a chance to get to the Sweet 16. Lon Kruger is a great coach and will have the guys ready so it should be interesting.

How about the rest of the Tournament? Will one of the favorites like Kansas, Syracuse, Kentucky or Purdue win? Or will it be a Cinderella team like Xavier, Butler or the Murray State Raiders, etc. This is the beauty of the Tournament, the best teams don't always win, many times it's the hottest team.

Who will be the biggest disappointment? Could it be Duke, Villanova, Kansas State or Texas to go in the first round? There are many things that come into play. There's road play, Can they win on the road? Then there's non conference competition. How about location and team history. Is your team used to winning big games? Last but not least is the underdog. Does the team step up or choke in a big game?

Any way you look at it, it's going to be exciting!! As my buddy Chic Morisseau says, Sports madness never ends. It will be March Madness, the start of baseball season, then the NBA playoffs, and then yes, thats right, the NFL season.
