Who was the youngest President of the United States? If you thought it was John Kennedy you would be wrong. Kennedy was the youngest elected President at age 43. Theodore Roosevelt was the youngest President. Roosevelt was 42 when he became President after William McKinley was assassinated in 1901. The oldest President was Ronald Reagan.

Everyone knows George Washington was the first president.  Did you know his teeth were made of elephant and walrus tusks, not wood?

Both John Adams and Thomas Jefferson died on July 4, 1826 within hours of each other. James Monroe died on the 4th of July in 1831. The only President born on July 4th was Calvin Coolidge.

William Henry Harrison was only President for 31 days. He died of pneumonia after a very cold day on his Inauguration.

Our 10th President, John Tyler, loved kids and had 15 children.

Did you know the first President to have a stove and running water in the White House was Millard Fillmore in 1850?

Abraham Lincoln was not only the tallest President and first President to be assassinated. He was also President when the first health insurance policy was written in 1861.

James Garfield could write with both hands at the same time in different languages.

The first President to have electric lights and a Christmas tree in the White House was Benjamin Harrison.

William McKinley was President  when the first auto insurance policy was written in 1897. He was also the first President to use campaign buttons.

Warren Harding liked to gamble. He once gambled away a set of White House china.

Herbert Hoover spoke Chinese to his wife to keep their stories private.

Franklin Roosevelt was the only President to serve more than 2 terms. He was elected 4 times and served from 1933 until his death in office in 1945.

George Bush and George W Bush were not the only father and son Presidents. John Adams and his son John Quincy Adams also served.
